# Construction daily-log example

A useful site record answers what happened, what is blocked and what happens next.

## Example: renovation rough-in

- Date / project: choose the job and work date.
- Work completed: plumbing rough-in completed in the main bathroom.
- Crew: record the team and hours present.
- Materials: fixtures expected Thursday; list items actually used.
- Blocker: confirm vanity dimensions before closing the wall.
- Safety: record concerns and action taken; follow your site safety process.
- Weather: enter observed conditions if relevant.
- Photos: attach labelled rough-in photos before concealment.
- Next action: project manager to confirm dimensions with client.

## Make records useful

- Write concrete observations rather than only “worked on site.”
- Keep sensitive client details out of photos shared beyond the team.
- Save online and review unresolved blockers in the project workspace.
